What you can expect

I understand it can be a difficult decision to take the leap and begin your counselling journey.  Whether that turns out to be one session or continuing on much longer.  If you are here now reading this, I am guessing counselling is something you may be considering.

Counselling can be thought of as a journey. Everyone's experience will be deeply unique and vary in length.  What does remain the same for everyone is that sessions are 1 hour in length and are typically on a weekly basis.  If you feel there needs to be a longer duration between sessions as time goes on, this is something we can discuss at any time.  We will always work at a pace you feel comfortable with and work with the information you feel comfortable sharing.  This may not always be easy and may require a lot of courage. If, however, you stay open to the process, you may find the most difficult things to say out loud bring you the most amount of growth.

I strive to offer you a comfortable space where you can feel accepted for who you are. To be able to speak your most difficult thoughts without fear of judgement or rejection. I will be there right alongside you, supporting you on your journey.

 

Currently I offer counselling via four different formats, walk and talk, on the phone/video call or in person.
